Years ago, a salad was my vision of healthy eating and many other foods scared me, especially potatoes, grains and high carb foods. As the years passed, I began focussing on my gratitude for food and being consciously aware of the ripple effect my eating had on the planet and the animals. Around the world, food seems to be focused on weight loss and everything we put in our mouth is justified by a calorie that could make or break the waist line. Self guilt eating is a terrible way to live each day and only makes one hate food that much more. Eating food is not about a tally of our weight, rather is life itself.
Food and water are the most important things for survival yet we feel so threatened by it. Is that not strange to you?

There are 4 lifestyle challenges that are all driven by “Patterns & Beliefs”. Lifestyle changes are the core to loving food again and loving life. To stop beating ourselves up for having cravings, chronic dieting, overeating, emotional eating, binge eating and body image issues one must shift the “HABITUAL” thought patterns and beliefs “even when nothing else has worked before”! When it comes to making long lasting Habit Change, I like to focus on nutrition, daily lifestyle and how positively I look at myself.

Here are my TOP 5 TIPS FOR TRULY LOVING FOOD AGAIN!
- Learn to cook plant dishes. Our planet has millions of different vegetables and fruit and hundreds of different grains, legumes, seeds, nuts etc.
- Gather at the table. Food is best enjoyed together. Include people, invite people over and create a community that is grateful for food.
- Eat real food. If it comes from the soil or from a plant you will love it and have more energy!
- Thank the planet everyday for food and water. Our life depends on it.
- Rushing is no fun, so food prep the day before and cooking will be more enjoyable. One last bonus tip; When you eat, chew chew chew and enjoy the food. Gratitude for each bite is conscious eating and aids in digestion, assimilation and absorption of all the vital nutrients in the food.
