All Seasons Vegan - By Tammy Robinson

Pumpkin Spiced Latte

Pumpkin Spiced latte cravings are an indicator that Autumn is here. Autumn is my second favourite season of the year and as the leaves begin to turn and temperatures drop the instant desire to enjoy a hot pumpkin latte is strong. For many years my daughters and I would head over to Chapters/Indigo for a large pumpkin spiced latte while enjoying some early Christmas shopping. The Starbucks does make a good latte but it is not vegan and contains dairy products. This latte recipe I created about 3 years ago. This latte is all about the fresh herbs of this season with deep rich flavours of clove, ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon.

If you are like me and love coffee, feel free to add a shot or two of expresso and whisk it into this recipe at the end. Last year, I had professional photos taken of this latte recipe from my cookbook in pink mugs with a healthy dollop of coconut whip, yummmmmmm right! Can’t go wrong with some vegan whipping cream so you may want to pick up some from your local grocery store before making this recipe.

Pumpkin Spiced Latte

I purchased these beautiful hand made pottery mugs from a local store in downtown Courtenay, BC at a store called Rally.co, http://www.rallyco.ca/.

Almost everyone I’ve met collects something, well I collect mugs. As a tradition every year, I like to shop for a new set or single mug for the next year pumpkin spiced latte enjoyment. These mugs feel earthy and raw to the touch. I could actually feel the love that went into making them.
